MYTEK LAB – Coding Classes Kids Love
When my son asked if he could take a coding class this year as an elective I honestly did not know where to look. He had enjoyed a few coding activities but I did not know if his level of experience was enough to be able to find a class that he would enjoy and be challenged by without it being too easy or too difficult.
When I heard about MYTEK LAB I was so thrilled I couldn’t wait to show it to my son.
I asked him to look over all the MYTEK LAB courses offered and find one that he felt he would enjoy. To my surprise, he came back with choosing the TEKnology LAB Level 1. When I looked at lesson titles I was a teensy bit overwhelmed because there was no way I was going to be able to help him if he ran into trouble. He was so excited as he started the pixel art coding section he didn’t look back. I gave a sigh of relief when he reminded me that they have a weekly help session if he ran into problems.
Weekly Coding Classes
Each week he has explored a different aspect of computer programming in his online class.
He’s quickly acquired a whole new tech-talk vocabulary and the confidence to explain all the things he’s learning.
When I asked him what he enjoyed most so far in the live online computer programming class, he said,

🖱 When customizing my profile page, I can link to a BlocksVR or HTML page that I created and then use that for my profile.
🎯 The lessons are simple, but they get so much done.

So that sums it up! I didn’t understand much of the tech-talk, but when he showed me his profile and the other things he was working on, I was so impressed! He is really learning to code and completing assignments that will prepare him for a technology-based career or hobby.
I am so thrilled for him to embark into the world of technology and coding in an online class that provides a safe environment to practice and learn coding and programming skills.
He’s not quite done with the whole online coding class yet, but he is really looking forward to finishing up learning how to use blocksCAD and blocksVR. After that, he says he is ready to learn how to create in-game characters. That just sounds so cool! I can’t wait to see what he creates.
Online Technology Classes for Homeschoolers
